Summer Apps Program - Week 2
A huge portion of this week served as an introduction to Android programming, which of course was Kevin’s time to shine as the resident Android expert. On Monday, Kevin gave Deversers an introduction to Android Studio, including explaining terminologies and performing a demo. On Wednesday and Thursday, Deversers began coding the various pages of the mobile app. In this process, they learned how functionality meets design. The students learned that programming most of the time is problem solving.
As of Thursday, one of the students have volunteered to be the team’s Scrum Master. In the next two weeks, our Scrum Master will step in when necessary to delegate tasks and make sure that all deadlines are met. This is a great opportunity for Deversers to learn teamwork and project management!
